Design Technology Specialist

AlphaGraphics in the Cultural District is seeking a Design Technology Specialist to join our team. We are looking for an energetic self-starter with a positive attitude. This person excels in a busy environment and can multi-task very easily.

 The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in the design or printing industry but with the aptitude and interest in technology.

 Reporting to the Technology Supervisor, the Design Technology Specialist will be responsible for the following:

 

Pre-Press

  • Collaborate with the production team and troubleshoot customer files for digital and large format printing

  • Communicate with customers via phone and email to ensure artwork will be produced to desired specifications

  • Thoroughly read and accurately interpret job tickets

  • Collaborate with Sales and Production teams to ensure quality and accuracy of completed projects

  • Help with production design projects as needed

  • Responsible for archive file system

 

E-Commerce

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our e-Commerce system

    • Assist on sales calls as subject matter expert.

    • Create and maintain e-Commerce sites for customers

 

Variable data

  • Compose variable data documents

  • Process mailings by meeting the USPS and customer requirements

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field

  • Minimum 3 years experience

  • Proficient in both Mac and PC platforms

  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Distiller, Adobe Creative Suite, XMPie, Microsoft Office.

  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat production plug-ins (Enfocus and Quite Imposing), XMPie product knowledge a plus.

  • Strong team player with a positive attitude.

  • Willingness to go above and beyond the expectations while being accountable for daily tasks.

Outside Sales Executive

Bookkeeper / Data Analyst

We are seeking a Bookkeeper / Data Analyst to join our accounting and administrative team. The ideal candidate will have experience with financial reporting, account reconciliation, accounts payable, client billing and more. Working closely with the Accounting Manager, candidate will also provide administrative assistance that includes maintaining filing systems, preparation of internal reports, ordering supplies, etc. We’re looking for a candidate who has strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of GAAP and experience with financial analysis and cost reporting.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Process Trade and Operating vendor invoices, working closely with the Sales Team

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the Accounting department, including filing, report generation, cost analysis, and bank deposits.

  • Generate and distribute client billing daily

  • Monitor credit card charges, including reconciling of monthly invoice

  • Assist with collections, including communication with client’s about billing questions

  • Preparation of internal financial reports and support of quarterly and annual accounting activities as necessary

  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

Qualifications
  • Attention to detail and good record-keeping skills a must.

  • Ability to prioritize projects to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

  • Advanced Excel skills required. Experience with QuickBooks a plus.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
