Allies for Health + Wellbeing provides integrated medical care, supportive human services and community-based education for people living with or at risk of HIV, viral hepatitis and sexually transmitted infections.
The event team at Allies challenged us to transform their successful benefit gala into its own brand called “The Allies Ball.” They wanted this new brand to fit within the recently updated Allies for Health + Wellbeing brand. It had to highlight the annual event in a bold, memorable way. The client was inspired by the aesthetic of vintage military propaganda posters and the Bauhaus School so they asked that we consider that in the design.
When it comes to design and printing, AG knows how to party. We delivered a unique brand identity for The Allies Ball that included a logo, a save the date, an invitation, signage, a program book and other supporting collateral. The design took its cues from propaganda style art, but pushed the typography into a more stylized and graphic approach for a look all its own. We used our new clear ink technology on the invitation, along with white ink on specialty paper to really make the invitation pop. In the end, we had a ball and the inaugural event was a success.
